.NET Domain Name Registrations
When the Dot NET universal top-level domain name extension was initially introduced in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was planned to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure firms. In view of the fact that there were no specific rules about the usage of the TLD, though, dot NET domains were reserved and used for diverse purposes and by numerous people. This TLD is a good substitution for .COM, especially if the necessary domain with the latter extension is not free for registration.
Reserving a dot NET domain name with our firm is as easy as ABC and takes only a couple of minutes, considering that we are partners with an ICANN-accredited registrar firm. You can obtain such a domain for a period between 1 and 10 years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our company and we will renew it when the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are possible for all domains, which are at least sixty days old, provided that they are unlocked and that you have acquired an EPP transfer key – security measures set up by the .NET Registry against unauthorized transfers. You can easily edit the WHOIS details of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you don’t want this information to be accessible at all, you can purchase a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to get your actual contact information.
The dot NET extension supports internationalized names, so you can decide whether you want to concentrate on a certain country or zone using a domain name in the regional language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
